Designing an Integrated Ninth Grade
Algebra and Geometry I Curriculum

Abstract:  In order to ensure that Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) students receive proper instruction at a statewide or nationwide norm, a teacher needs to both understand and implement the Ohio Department of Education content standards and the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics process standards in their instruction.  This project demonstrates using these resources to create AYA mathematics lesson plans as the foundation for the curriculum.  In addition, this project will provide an example of how to adapt a lesson plan to suit the resources of any given classroom.
